It's a remarkable skill to paint such vivid imagery with one's words.
There are so many great sentences in the text. But this one stood out to me: "His words hung aloft like winged seeds in the humid air." Seriously, what a novel way to describe a voice. I've never read anything like that.
The rich and descriptive language allowed me to feel completely immersed in the narrative and present in the moment. I hope to see more writing pieces from Carisa in the future.
